Equal Justice Matters. If you're praying that young men and women in communities everywhere, and those in your household, will return unbattered, unbruised-- alive -- you feel the plight. Run with us at Suncoast Women of Action. The right to vote is the game changer on the field of basic rights. That's why we're educating and informing people who have the right to vote. We give voters (and citizens who should vote) insight on political affairs that impact their liberties. Ever mindful that everything is political, we expose voters to different perspectives on matters concerning housing, schooling, education, employment, economics, family, and justice. We're helping voters stay in the race by championing the right to vote. Whether you're in a sprint or running the distance for life well lived, voting is the game changer.
Message from the PresidentWe envision a time when our country's electoral processes will equally represent the rights and privileges of all American citizens. To that end, Suncoast Women of Action serves as a vehicle for disseminating information and increasing the ease with which citizens can engage in American government. We recognize that indeed, all politics are local. Consequently, we constantly scan the political landscape for implications on Suncoast neighborhoods. The Sarasota-Manatee area is an extraordinary place. We're blessed to call it home. Many residents and visitors have only known the area as a Slice of Paradise. Yet, others of us have roots in the soil and sea dating back 100 years. That weighty history has everything to do with the act and impact of voting. For people of color, life on the Suncoast is not always a sunny day on beautiful sandy beaches. Suncoast Women of Action is proud to play a role in keeping good things moving forward.
